Motors & Mechanisms
At Charterhouse Mobility, we offer a range of electric motors for you to choose from, each of which suits a particular requirement. If you have limited space, for instance, or if you like to sleep on a chair that reclines completely, or perhaps you want to have the highest possible leg-lift available, whatever your personal preferences may be, we'll be able to expertly advise you on the motor that will be ideal for you. Our chairs are controlled by remote control to make them as easy to use as possible.
Single Motor Tilt In Space Rise & Recliner
This mechanism raises the legs slowly at first before the back begins to recline. The chair then gently tilts whilst maintaining a perfect 90° back to seat angle for enhanced support. The tilting action also allows you to achieve an elevated leg position.
Dual Motor Tilt In Space Rise & Recliner
This mechanism offers everything that the single motor tilt in space does, along with additional control of independent movement for the leg and back positions. Once the tilting action to achieve a high leg-lift is complete, the back can then be further reclined making it almost horizontal for sleeping.
Standard Single Motor Rise & Recliner
If you are looking for simplicity then this mechanism will allow you to recline the back and raise the legs to horizontal all in one motion and with the same button on the handset.
Standard Dual Motor Rise & Recliner
With one motor for the back and another for the leg-lift, this mechanism will allow you to find the perfect position to suit your individual needs.
Single Motor Wall-Hugger Rise & Recliner
Where space is an issue, this mechanism allows you to position your furniture close to the wall. As you recline, the chair slides forward and away from the wall.
